Pursuing a Christ- Centered relationship

For me in my point of view , being in a relationship is a great feeling , i mean who wouldn’t want someone who they can spend time with and share their love? But i always believe that it is one of God’s greatest gifts, but if your relationship isn’t Christ-centered, than what’s the point?

You know God calls us to have a relationship with Him and to revolve our relationship with another on God’s love. If God has called you to be in a relationship, He is calling you to be a disciple of Him and His love.

My friends always tells me to
" Date someone who loves Jesus more than you." That is true because its good to be with someone who can brings out your truest identity in Christ. On who is able to lead + support.

In 1 John 4:7 it says,

“ Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.”

Having a Christ-Centered relationship being in a relationship won't distract you from God but instead it will bring you closer to Him, because if God is the center of your relationship, nothing can break it.

I aim for a relationship that we are able to

  1. Worship together.
  2. Seek Unity Through The Holy Spirit.
  3. Be still & listen.
  4. Read the bible together.
  5. Serve together.
  6. Pray together.
  7. Lead together

Blessed to start the year with someone who has grown in the ways of the Lord, someone who is willing to work hard, support and love like how Jesus loved.
