Paul compares the Christian life to running a race. Every sport needs discipline. There are days when you certainly do not want to exercise; or moments and situations that prevent you; as it is a disease.
Those reasonable excuses begin in some cases to be prolonged, and one or two days become weeks or months that we lose discipline.
In our spiritual life it happens the same.!!
If we are out of training, and we begin to give it a long time after a few days and before we can realize our lives and relationship with God will be, loose, flaccid and out of shape.
That is why I invite you to reflect on How is your spiritual life at this time? Have you left the habit of training with the Lord? How about your development on the Track (prayer, fasting, vigil, reading the word) etc.
If you are in excellent shape try to watch to keep you that way; action, action, action because it says the word:
"So, the one that thinks to be firm, watch that it does not fall". 1 Corinthians 10:12
But you have tried to exercise your spirit again, and you do not know where to start. Shake and return to the track your time arrived, your new time leaves laziness and the Gym charges encouragement and forward the blessings of the Lord are waiting for you.
Remember:
Isaiah 40:29
"He gives effort to the weary, and multiplies the strength he has none." Isaiah 40: 29
