In Jesus' story, a man was going down to Jericho. In transit, he fell among criminals who stripped him of his garments, injured him, stole everything of esteem that he had, beat him seriously, and left him half-dead. This man was left in such a circumstance, to the point that if nobody acted the hero, he would clearly pass on.

A specific cleric descended that street, and he go by on the opposite side. It isn't so much that he neglected to see the harmed man. He saw him lying there in a stack. From the cleric's vantage point, he couldn't tell without a doubt whether this man was in any condition, thus he gave the man a generous amount of space. Around then, the clerics, Pharisees, and Levites had numerous laws with respect to contamination and purifying ceremonies, and one of those laws said that you were not permitted to contact a carcass. On the off chance that you contacted a dead body, at that point you would need to experience a wide range of purifying ceremonies so as to continue your consecrated exercises.

Expecting that the man who had fallen among the criminals was dead, this cleric went as far around as he could. He would not like to need to experience the ceremonies of purifying that would intrude on the typical course of his religious exercises, thus he went to the opposite side of the street.

Next, a Levite also walked through this place, and he too go by on the opposite side. A Levite was sanctified to do sanctuary duties by God and to instruct. So these two individuals from the church who were separate for performing works of leniency, in addition to other things, offered no assistance. To the extent they were concerned, if the man was not dead as of now, he unquestionably would be soon.

Be that as it may, at that point a third man goes along, and Jesus recognizes him as a Samaritan. To the Jews, a "good Samaritan" would have been a confusing expression. They trusted that there were no good Samaritans. Be that as it may, Jesus says that the Samaritan went along, "and when he saw him, he had sympathy" (v. 33). Sympathy was precisely what the minister and the Levite did not have. They don't felt anything for this hopeless villain who was lying exposed in the street, yet when the Samaritan saw this severely beaten man, he had empathy and compassion.

Also, his empathy drove him to activity. He didn't simply say, "I'll pray for you, man. I feel your torment," and go on. He gave it his best shot to demonstrate leniency to this man, who might likely have considered him to be an adversary. He bound his injuries, pouring on oil and wine, and after he anointed him, he lifted him up. The man clearly couldn't walk. The Samaritan put him all alone on his donkey, surrendering his seat for the harmed man, and conveyed him to a hotel.

At that point he ensured that the man got all the sustenance and care he required. At the point when the Samaritan left, he gave two denarii to the landlord and said to him, "Deal with him. Whatever it costs." The Samaritan may have made the trek frequently, so the owner may have known him. He guaranteed to pay back the owner for whatever costs he caused.
