The more evil I see in the world, the stronger my Faith becomes. Paradoxically, the more I realize just how difficult it is to follow Jesus.
Everyday is a spiritual challenge.
Take Zacchaeus, for instance.
The early Americans would have dragged him down from that tree and tarred and feathered him.
But Jesus showed love and mercy instead.
Jesus spent time hanging out with thieves and criminals. If He came back today, He would probably go straight to Washington DC, then Wall Street and finally Hollywood.
2000 years later, taxation is still theft. But the Word lives on. And His love and mercy shall live forever more.
