"The Morning After..." - Daily Word #18

in christian-trail •  7 years ago

The morning after is often the hardest.

The morning after a breakup.

The morning after the death a close someone.

The morning after a big celebration.

The morning after an epic victory.

Why is it the case? It's human nature. We get back to reality, our daily grind.

We usually get back to the "what we were doing before" situation.

Eight days later after the Resurrection, the disciples were together. And again Jesus appeared and stood among them behind locked doors.

In John 20, Jesus said

“Peace be with you,” he said. Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here, and look at my hands. Put your hand into the wound in my side. Don’t be faithless any longer. Believe!”

The morning after requires us to have FAITH. Not our old faith... but a New Faith. A Stronger Faith.

Faith to be able to believe without seeing.

Faith that can move mountains.

Faith that will be able to go to the very end.

Our walk of Faith requires us to take steps of Faith on a DAILY basis. Not just great leaps of Faith that are BIG and monumental. But steps that we can take on a Daily Basis to be able to Grow from Strength to Strength.

Will you take a step forward the morning after... and the morning after... and the morning after?

Blessings & Shalom.

It is truly not easy to keep renewing our faith when we don't seek God for it. I totally agree we tend to return to "same old, same old" even 24 hours after an epic change in our lives the day before.

Thank you for such a crucial reminder that we need to allow the renewing of our minds daily for fresh revelation.

Thank you @littlenewthings. Your encouragement means a lot to me. Blessings to you! SG
