He Will Take Care of You

Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. Psalm 55:22

There are times when, like the psalmist, we feel pursued by enemies or surrounded by difficulties. Our enemy may be financial trouble, ill health, or a person who misjudges or opposes us so that our "heart is in anguish" (v.4).

At that point we may be tempted to run away, retreat, or give up. But the Lord offers us something better. In this psalm, trials and problems cause us to cry out to Him. Someone once said, "If you are swept off your feet, it's time to get on your knees."

God encourages us to turn to Him and call on Him in our distress so that He can rescue us and keep us safe in the midst of the trouble. He may not immediately take us out of the situation, but He will guide us through the circumstances. He gives us a wonderful promise: if we give our burdens to Him, He will take care of us and not allow us to slip and fall.

LORD, I give You every burden and concern I face today. And I thank You for Your promise of care, provision, and safety. You will not allow me to slip or fall. I will trust in You because You are faithful forever to those who love You. I consider it a joy and privilege to be counted among the many who love You. Thank You for the freedom to ask for and receive Your help. AMEN :-)❤️

Good Tuesday morning my dear grateful steemit family and friends. This text message came from a very dear friend of mine, Ms, Sharon Tan yesterday. I just felt led to share it with you all here today. This is so true for me, I was being pursued by my enemy for as long as I can remember. My nanay just came home from the hospital just last Friday due to mild stroke. And you know very well that it is so hard to take care of a sick loved one. More so I was also alone in taking care of my two daughters. My ading (younger sibling) is an OFW (Saudi). It is very impossible for me to be a mother to my daughters, a caregiver to my nanay, a housemaid after an 8am-5pm government employee from Monday to Friday. This made me sick too. I immediately took precautionary measures to shield myself from any illness, it will be a total disaster if I will also get sick.

We are financially drained and it is never easy to live a life that you are so uncomfortable with. I mean I was totally outside my comfort zone and I feel like giving up. I cried many times and the past week was a total "wreck" because I was squeezed so hard. I praise and thank God for blessing me with good, generous and kind hearted friends, who came along the way to shell out their resources in helping us pay the huge hospital bill. There were also some who lend us wheelchair for my nanay, some volunteered to be my nanay's caregiver during the day, while I was at work and to look after my toddler. Of course, we plead her to bear with us and we will pay her as soon as I get my final pay from my previous work.

All, one by one fall into its place, and I feel recharged each day, because all my friends and relatives, are praying for me and my family. Each day, God gives me strength to face each new day with joy and gladness. I praise God for this devotion today. I was reminded to bring all my burdens to God. :-)
