Blessings @anaman. Our battle is not against flesh and blood and we need to put on the spiritual armor that God has provided for us. I did a post about 2 weeks ago that not only describes each piece of gospel armor, but also explains why the belt of truth is first, the breastplate is second and so forth.

Amen! We put on the full armor by what Paul said earlier in Ephesians. This is why he starts this verse in chapter 6, “finally brethren”. This is the summary of what he has been saying from chapter 1 on. The way we put on the full armor is to love our wives and Christ loved the Church, wives submit themselves unto their own husband. Children obey your parents! Fathers don’t imbitter your children. Husbands wash you wife with the Word of God! Remember He has already seated us in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Remember we are saved by grace, not by works. Remember we are His Workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works!
In faithfulness to the instruction throughout all of the letter to the Ephesians, we are putting on the full or whole armor of God and we will be able to withstand the wives of the devil.
