When they began singing and praising, the Lord set ambushes against the sons of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; so they were struck down [in defeat]. - 2 Chronicles 20:22
Oh, that we could reason or think less about our worries and sing and praise more! How different and much more joyful would our lives be if, instead of bowing our heads in worry, we could simply sing our cares away? Sing in the morning. The birds are the earliest to sing, and birds are more without care than anything else in the world. Sing in the evening. Singing is the last thing that robins do. When they have done their daily work; when they have flown their last flight, and picked up their last morsel of food, they sit on a topmost twig and they sing one song of praise. Oh, that we might sing morning and evening, and let our songs touch heaven all through the day! Let our singing be a sweet-smelling savor to God.
