...is a life of strength in faith and character that gives us power to overcome evil and resist temptations.
It's a hard thing to be strong and fight evil when we are constantly surrounded by the glitters of fame and fortune of this world. But we are admonished to be vigilant with our faith and not letting our guards down for the devil is right in front of us ready to devour us in one false move.
Our mundane habits must be always to strengthen and draw us closer to our Savior. The way we speak, the things we feed our body and our minds, the things that we do however simple and superficial they may be must lead us to strengthen our faith.
"Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. Withstand him; be firm in faith [against his onset–rooted, established, strong, immovable, and determined], knowing that the same (identical) sufferings are appointed to your brotherhood (the whole body of Christians) throughout the world."

Yes. We have to have faith and always guard our hearts so that we can defeat the devil and the bad with good and doing all things in love.
