That Old Serpent

Revelation 20:2 (KJV)
And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

That old serpent

He is the devil. He is old. He goes back all the way to the garden of Eden. He is old but be is not ageless. He had a beginning. There was a time he did not exist. He was created. At that moment time began for him.
God is sometimes called the ancient of days, but He is not old. He is ageless. There has never been a time when He was not. He has no beginning. Time is irrelevant to Him[1] because there is no moment when time began for Him.

[1] Except in His use of time for our benefit.
