26 LIKEWISE the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, BUT THE SPIRIT HIMSELF MAKES INTERCESSION FOR US WITH GROANING [groans] WHICH CANNOT BE UTTERED.
27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, BECAUSE HE MAKES INTERCESSION FOR THE SAINTS ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD."
Romans 8:26,27 (NKJV)
2 FOR HE WHO SPEAKS IN A TONGUE DOES NOT SPEAK TO MEN BUT TO GOD, FOR NO ONE UNDERSTANDS HIM; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.
14 For if I pray in a tongue, MY SPIRIT PRAYS, but my understanding is unfruitful."
1 Corinthians 14:2,14 (NKJV)
• Depend on the Holy Spirit to receive instructions on whatever the subject of your prayer might be (Romans 8:14).
- Praying in the spirit or tongues would quieten your mind, caused it to be receptive to whatever message being sent by the Holy Spirit via your spirit, the inward man.
- Note:
I. The Holy Spirit helps in signs and wonders.
WHEN you pray more and often in the language of the Spirit, you begin to walk in the miraculous.
II. The manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit become a reality, when you pray often in Tongues.
PRAYING in tongues, gives an access to the manifestations of gifts of the Holy Spirit.
III. There is no limit to the Holy Spirit in prayers.
IF you prayed in understanding, and usually do not write your prayer points out, you may forget some important points of prayers.
IV. The Holy Spirit would help you in praying beyond what you can literally do as a person (Romans 8:26,27).
V. In praying in tongues, your understanding might be unfruitful, that is, you might not know the meaning or not be able to understand what you are saying in your literal language, but God could: "FOR IF I PRAY IN A TONGUE, MY SPIRIT PRAYS, BUT MY MIND IS UNPRODUCTIVE [because it does not understand what my spirit is praying]" (1 Corinthians 14:14 Amps).
"FOR IF I PRAY IN A LANGUAGE I DON'T UNDERSTAND, MY SPIRIT IS PRAYING, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT I AM SAYING."
1 Corinthians 14:14 (the Living Bible).
a. Your spirit is praying by the help of the Holy Spirit according to the mind of God the Father, thus, He, God, could understand what you are saying or praying (1 Corinthians 14:2).
b. Your mind's concentration is not what determines your prayer, but the Holy Spirit enabling your regenerated human spirit to pray.
• Understanding the diverse or different kinds of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:10):
a. It is the supernatural utterance given by the Holy Spirit, which is the language that was not learnt or understood by the speaker—the person uttering It.
b. The language being uttered in tongues is not always unknown to the hearers, but might be absolutely unknown to the person speaking It:
4 AND EVERYONE PRESENT WAS FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND BEGAN SPEAKING IN OTHER LANGUAGES, [tongues], AS THE HOLY SPIRIT GAVE THEM THIS ABILITY. 5 At that time there were devout Jews from every nation living in Jerusalem. 6 WHEN THEY HEARD THE LOUD NOISE, . . . AND THEY WERE BEWILDERED TO HEAR THEIR OWN LANGUAGES BEING SPOKEN BY THE BELIEVERS. 7 THEY WERE COMPLETELY AMAZED. “HOW CAN THIS BE?” THEY EXCLAIMED. “THESE PEOPLE ARE ALL FROM Galilee, 8 AND YET WE HEAR THEM SPEAKING IN OUR OWN NATIVE LANGUAGES!" (Acts 2:4-8 NLT).
c. The gift, diverse or different kinds of Tongues, is always used in conjunction with the gift of the interpretation of Tongues; to relay or deliver a message sent by God through the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 14:13,27,28).
d. If there is no any interpretation, it means the message sent could be for the person who is speaking which does not need any interpretation or might be made known to him or her later privately (1 Corinthians 14:4).
• Praying in the language of the Holy Spirit is very important. Without the help of the Holy Spirit in prayers, the admonition to pray always, or without ceasing, would be evasive or unrealistic (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
- There is a limit to what you can pray in the understanding, the native language you speak.
a. When you pray in tongues, you put the devil and all his agents in confusions.
b. What you are talking or praying could not be understood by the devil and his cohorts, you are communicating with God, as the Scripture says (1 Corinthians 14:2). - Kingdom of darkness is dreaded of the praying in tongues.
- In your time of prayers; either in the day or night time, pray more in tongues. This would build your regenerated human spirit, the inward Man, and make you strong and formidable in the spirit realm (Jude 20).
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
- Should there be any ailment in your body, receive your healing now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
- The hold is totally broken and never will it come up or rise again, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Peace!
