Christina Aguilera has long been a fan of the great Whitney Houston — and on Sunday night at the American Music Awards, she got to give a little of that love right back, performing a powerful medley of some of Houston's greatest hits.

Christina Aguilera wowed everyone at the American Music Awards on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
After an introduction by Oscar-winner Viola Davis, Aguilera launched into "I Will Always Love You," a tune originally written and sung by Dolly Parton in 1974 but brought to fresh life by Houston in her 1992 film "The Bodyguard."
