I've been practicing the tenor part for Handel's Hallelujah. Tomorrow is the big day. I don't think we will sound like the Royal Choral Society but at least we have all four parts and an orchestra. I will try to record from my point of view tomorrow.

Enjoy your holiday. The most important point I see through reading the Bible is Matthew 1:23 "Immanuel, which means God with us." Again in Zecheriah's song in Luke's gospel "Has come and has redeemed his people." We were able to welcome two unexpected guests this Christmas. My sons were happy to know what it means to serve and love. They were so excited they went to bed late. I have a recording of Mozart Gloria and Handel Hallelujah from the tenor section... i just have to come to terms that this is the voice God gave me and post it.

My voice would sound funny if it was heard isolated, too. But the power of the group is wonderful for pulling everybody's voices together. In the community choir, even the top sops never sing as high as in Hallelujah, so it was quite a challenge!

Our church choir sand Hallelujah and Gloria. I sang tenor. I recorded it with my cell phone but my voice is the clearest due to proximity. It is a good way for me to hear all my mistakes but from far away the choir sounds great.
