Ghosts Of Christmas Past

I hate to be a buzzkill, but no actual ghosts are featured in this post.

I hope you're cool with that.

Memories are ghosts, right?

'Cause this post is about Christmas memories.

My thumbnail pic is from a time when a friend and I randomly decided to go decorate Christmas wreaths in the Walmart parking lot, and then drive around and leave them on random people's doorsteps.

The one in the picture was the only non-random wreath, 'cause I made it for my little cousin.

Speaking of that lil' guy, here's the time I dressed up as a giant christmas present. I don't know why.

Guess he liked it haha:

And then there was the Christmas with the purple potato:

Purple on the inside, anyway.

Then there was the one where I went with my friends to cut down a Christmas tree, and we brought home Big Papa Pete while playing gangster rap as loud as we could while parking outside a Starbucks. Basic.

We went to get big Petey while I was wearing my christmas tye dye coat!!!

"Christmas coat" because part of the "dye" is actually just mulled wine that I spilled on myself in the Czech Republic.

You guys, mulled wine is amazing and smells like Christmas.

It's hot red wine that's made with cardamom, cinnamon, orange peels.

And it's the perfect hot drink to have around the holidays.

And they have it on the streets in the winter time in certain parts of Europe. It's AMAZING.

Unless you're the type of person who can't handle walking and doing something else at the same time.

I am one of those people.

I trip ALL the time.

I have two steemian witnesses who will back me up on that if you don't believe me. They saw me do an epic fall in Krakow in the middle of the road for no apparent reason haha.

Anyway, thought I'd turn lemons into lemonade....err...mulled wine spill into a tye dye coat.

And then...there was the one with my best friend, ugly Christmas sweaters and the home-made sparkle shoes.

Yeah, I glittered up my shoes and the glitter was in the apartment for...ever, honestly.

Glitter is the herpes of crafts.

It doesn't go away.

Do you know what's on my sweater?

Hint: It's NOT the purple potato!

^^This is my FAVE ugly Christmas sweater I've ever made, btw.

The one where we literally went couch surfing:

And lastly, the one at the lakehouse with old friends:

These Christmas make me feel as warm and fuzzy as a cup of peppermint cocoa...minus the fuzz.

'Cause fuzzy cocoa just sounds moldy and disgusting.

Nobody wants that.

^Ghost of Christmas past

I’m not sure anyone has as much fun as you in life

Haha that's exactly what I think the ghost of Christmas past would look like!

Ha ha ha! That is so true about glitter! I think it reproduces when you’re not looking!

hahaha it reproduces! You're so funny

I've always said that glitter has a "half life" which is a "term in nuclear physics to describe how quickly unstable atoms undergo, or how long stable atoms survive, radioactive decay" (Wikipedia). In other words, it takes a very very long time for them to go away!

A ghost in our house blocked a doorway shut on Christmas Eve. My Dad had to shoulder it open to find that a heavy trunk/chest had been moved in front of the boor so it couldn't open inward. That was the only entrance to the room...
