It just doesn't seem like it Christmas without the ham and queso de bola. Almost everyone has a ham,maybe the smaller cheaper one, the big ones or even just sliced ham, It seems like the Noche buena is not complete without it. Also there must be the Queso de bola.
My brothers sends us a little extra every Christmas to buy my mom her queso de bola and ham. I sometimes just buy the ham but last year I made my own.
I do know how to make it. I was taught by my mom and her sister. I add or minus my own taste so it usually comes out as a sweet ham.
My ham after 1 week marination then boiling and baking. Cheaper to because 1 kilo ham is 400+ pesos and I can make a 2.5 kilo like this for 400+ pesos. This was last year's ham.
Hmmm sliced it looks pink tender and juicy. Just enough fat.
I bought this brand last year and it was pretty good. Just a little bit cheaper but tastes the same.
