Studying the second letter to the Corinthians I read this text that expresses several realities, but I am especially struck by the fact that Paul repeatedly not only the Corinthians but in his other letters wished his spiritual children to walk with the Holy Spirit and not in the flesh, it is a subject that is very much talked about among Christians but which is very important because we must walk as children of light, walk in the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 10 Reina-Valera 1960
(RVR1960)
Paul defends his ministry
1 I pray you, Paul, for the meekness and tenderness of Christ, who, being present, I am humble among you, but absent I am bold to you;
2 I pray, then, that when I am present, I do not have to use that boldness with which I am willing to proceed resolutely against some who have us as if we were walking according to the flesh.
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not fight according to the flesh;
4 because the weapons of our militia are not fleshly, but powerful in God for the destruction of fortresses,
5 overthrowing arguments and every high thing that is raised against the knowledge of God, and taking captive every thought to the obedience to Christ.

From the critical point of view this scripture expresses the imperative need to meditate and put into practice what we have learned, in the context we notice the apostle touching several points that concretize the defense of his ministry, the Christian of today is very modern listening to the preaching of others, This is not a bad thing but it is dangerous that we do not go to the writing to exercise spiritually, that is why Paul said: _ruego, then, that when present, do not have to use that audacity with which I am willing to proceed resolutely against some they have us as if we were walking according to the flesh. That is, these people described by Paul were spiritually misplaced, lacking in maturity or perhaps they were neophytes.

A clear distinction between the apostles and us who live in these times is the occupations that absorb our life, while they were focused on communion with Jesus Christ, instead we have work and family, we must be good stewards of time for to grow as God expects us to do and so walk in the Spirit.

Romans 8 Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)
Living in the Spirit
1 Now then, there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what was impossible for the law, because he was weak through the flesh, God, sending his Son in the likeness of the flesh of sin and because of sin, condemned sin in the flesh;
4 that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, that we walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
5 For those who are of the flesh think of the things of the flesh; but those who are of the Spirit, in the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

God expects us to be willing to look like him and not walk according to deceitful desires that go against his will
