A Gothic masterpiece! The spiers are exceptional, incredible to think that those stones have been masterfully carved and perforated by hand, one by one. It is difficult to imagine such human ingenuity. The windows are simply magical, an endless kaleidoscope of colors, which throw supernatural reflections inside, creating a unique atmosphere. The sepulcher of St. John Nepomuceno, all in silver, is imposing. The references to the natural world, in the interior architecture, are very frequent and fascinating. Some columns and walls are embellished with beautiful and suggestive masonry leaves and branches. A visit to San Vito is well worth the crush that you must face to get in! A little patience, and the human rivers pass by, and you can enjoy the place fully!

The Cathedral of St. Vitus is located inside the Prague Castle, and is certainly one of the most beautiful and characteristic places in Prague. If you look in the direction of the castle from the city or from the bank of the Vltava river you immediately notice its spiers that rise high behind it. When you find yourself below you can see the majesty and beauty of the whole building, with those golems attached on the sides that almost seem to want to intimidate you so you do not get in. Inside you breathe the atmosphere typical of all the places of the genre, with those high ceilings, and those charming decorated glasses that let a light and colored light filter through, giving life to the figures represented. The inlay with the view of the city is beautiful, as are the decorations of the imperial tomb, that of St. John Nepomucene, a canon of the cathedral, and the chapel of St. Wenceslas, Duke of Bohemia and its patron saint.

The Cathedral of San Vito is majestic and gigantic. There is a huge crowd every time, so at certain times it becomes difficult to move around and enjoy the show. The entrance to the cathedral is free, but you can not get too close (there is a cord that limits access). To be able to run it completely you have to buy the ticket, but it is definitely worth it. The mosaics are spectacular and if you happen on a sunny day full the colorful reflections of the mosaics inside the cathedral will leave you very impressed. There is one of Mucha very beautiful and famous. Other deserving things are a statue of silver, always from Nepomuceno, I think. and the chapel of St. Wenceslas (patron of the Czech republic)

impressive size, very beautiful and beautiful windows from several epochs; Of particular note here are the stained glass windows designed by Alfons Mucha (1931) and Max Svabinský (1934); the construction period was almost 6 centuries; The foundation stone was laid in 1344 in the presence of King John of Luxembourg; At first, Matthias von Arras, who had previously worked in Avignon, was the first cathedral master builder; In 1356, Peter Parler was called to Prague to design St. Vitus Cathedral as an epochal edifice of the late Gothic period; he was the son of the Cologne cathedral builder Heinrich Parler; at his death, however, the basement was completed by the South Tower in 1399, so that his sons Wenzel and Johann and Petrlik (Peterchen) continued the work; the second and third floors were still built in late Gothic; then in the Renaissance it was further developed; the completion of the south tower meant the temporary end of construction activity; End of the 17th century was then rebuilt again for ten years; in the end, the works were not recorded again until 1842 and the cathedral was consecrated in 1929.
