Great Theory Makes Great Practice

Great Practice Makes Perfect.
The power of the Word of God is in the practice.
Why do we study the word of God?
To learn how to live in accordance with the teachings in it.
The scriptures are like science in my experience. See how most of the problems today could be solved if people simply accepted to live in accordance with the teachings of God spiced with a little common sense.

Why a little common sense?

There is so much room for misinterpretations of the scriptures today. All that is needed is a little common sense to find your way around and take the best action for the best results.

Like I heard somewhere advice in itself accomplishes little, but it is the actions taken based on good advice that accomplishes miracles.

Jos 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest OBSERVE TO DO according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

OBSERVE TO DO is the key phrase here.
This is Joshua.
David said;
Psa 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

The purpose of the word is to help us known the way to do things better here on earth.

THE LORD JESUS said:
Mat 7:24
Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rocks.

The Lord Jesus also said;
John 13:17 KJV
If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

John 13:17 NIV
Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

Even Paul said;
Rom 2:13 NIV
For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.

James wrote that;
Jam 1:22 KJV
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Jam 1:22 NIV
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

These are a few of the Lord Jesus's teachings that have had the greatest impact on my life as a Christian.

  1. Luk 18:1 KJV
    And he spake a parable unto them [to this end], that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
    Luk 18:1 NIV
    Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

Prophet TB Joshua says "pray as if it all depends on God. And work for what you want as if it all depends on you."

Luke 10:41-42
"Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things,
10:42 but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her."

  1. Mat 7:7-8
    Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
    For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
