What inspires the PROPHETS?.

Revelation 19:10(NIV)
[10]I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “Don't do it! I am a servant together with you and with your fellow-believers, all those who hold to the truth that Jesus revealed. Worship God!”For the truth that Jesus revealed is what inspires the prophets.

Rev 19:10(KJV) And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

MOSES said I wish all God's people werewhere prophets full of the spirit of God.
(Num 11:29(KJV) And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD'S people were prophets, [and] that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!)

GOD considered and made the promise through Prophet Joel,
(Joel 2:28(KJV) And it shall come to pass afterward, [that] I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:)

Jesus now came with the necessary grace and truth needed to fulfill that promise.
Jesus is the word made flesh. Jesus is the True teachings of God in Human form.
{John 1:14(KJV) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.}

The thing is that When Moses came, the human consciousness was not
expanded enough to take the whole truth so had to wisely diluted the teachings to a point where they could handle.
(Mat 19:7-8
7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.)

Yes, though Jesus meet a more conscious set of humans it was still very low to handle the whole truth. For if Moses left them at primary school, all Jesus could do was to help them get. Their ordinary level certificate through the secondary school. So he said

John 16:12-13(GNB)
[12]“I have much more to tell you, but now it would be too much for you to bear.
[13]When, however, the Spirit comes, who reveals the truth about God, he will lead you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own authority, but he will speak of what he hears, and will tell you of things to come.

Just as how Moses talked of the coming of the Messiah so too Jesus talked about the coming of the Spirit. So Jesus was also limited my the level of consciousness of his time.

Then the promise in Joel 2 : 28 was fulfilled in the Acts of the Apostles chapter 2.
Acts 2:16-18(GNB)
[16]Instead, this is what the prophet Joel spoke about:
[17]‘This is what I will do in the last days, God says:
I will pour out my Spirit on everyone. Your sons and daughters will proclaim my message; your young men will see visions, and your old men will have dreams.
[18]Yes, even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will proclaim my message.

So the spirit working through the Apostles, continue from Jesus left them and helped the Apostles greatly expanded their consciousness so much that they could talk of and implement deeper truth that the people of God could not accept before then like:
John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, [and] one shepherd.
Jesus said this referring to the gentiles but could not push it through because the people where not yet ready for the truth that not only the Israelites were the people of God.
So when the Spirit through Peter accepted the Gentiles, then and only then did their open up to this truth.

Acts 11:15-18
[15]And when I began to speak, the Holy Spirit came down on them just as on us at the beginning.
[16]Then I remembered what the Lord had said: ‘John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’
[17]It is clear that God gave those Gentiles the same gift that he gave us when we believed in the Lord Jesus Christ; who was I, then, to try to stop God!”
[18]When they heard this, they stopped their criticism and praised God, saying, “Then God has given to the Gentiles also the opportunity to repent and live!”

It was after this that Paul was raised by the Spirit to be the Apostle to the Gentiles.
Galatians 2:8-9(GNB)
[8]For by God's power I was made an apostle to the Gentiles, just as Peter was made an apostle to the Jews.
[9]James, Peter, and John, who seemed to be the leaders, recognized that God had given me this special task; so they shook hands with Barnabas and me, as a sign that we were all partners. We agreed that Barnabas and I would work among the Gentiles and they among the Jews.

So the Spirit continued to lead them in to deeper and deeper truths until there also released that they had gotten to the limit of what the people at the time could handle. That is why Paul said:
2 Corinthians 12:2-3
[2]I know a certain Christian man who fourteen years ago was snatched up to the highest heaven (I do not know whether this actually happened or whether he had a vision — only God knows).
3 I repeat, I know that this man was snatched to Paradise (again, I do not know whether this actually happened or whether it was a vision — only God knows), and there he heard things which cannot be put into words, things that human lips may not speak.
He also said:
1Co 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able [to bear it], neither yet now are ye able.

Though they had received great wisdom through the Spirit there were still a lot of things they could not share. Even today we are still so had to teach. Because of the hardness of our heart there is still so much suffering and misery all around us.

So what inspires the prophets is simply the truth that Jesus revealed to us which is embodied in the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the spiritual manifestation of the teachings of Jesus the Christ.
When you say I am a Christian it is suppose to mean that your are living your life according to the teachings of Christ.
When a Christian encounters a decision about a situation they turn to the teachings of Jesus Christ for guidance.

It is this guidience that opens the supernatural for the prophets.
Seek and take your wisdom from the truth that Jesus revealed and see the supernatural open up for you.
