Now that my account is back I figured I would share last nights cigar.
I received this box as part of a box split with my Facebook cigar group. If I remember right the box date was nov 2013.
The pre-light draw is easy, even with a punch cut. This is always good news for the notoriously low quality-control in Cuban cigars these days.
The cigar produces nice amounts of flavorful smoke. There is a little bit of everything..., dark caramel, nutmeg, creamy and mild spice. The retro-hale is mellow, and the smoke pungent and thick.
Overall a well-balanced and nice smoke. The finish is a bit minty, some might describe it as green, but this will mellow with age. That is the nature of the rushed out, high demand, Cuban cigar.
I would grade it a solid B. (A - F)
