Today I’ll recommend a fantastic comedy film. It is one of my favourites. I saw it the other day after 10 years… fantastic!!
It’s called “Death at a Funeral”
“Death at a Funeral” was directed by Frank Oz and released in 2007. Not be be confused by the 2010 American remake.
The all movie takes place during a funeral, like the title indicates. There are two siblings, the son’s of the deceased, who are the main character’s, their mother some cousins and friends.
I know we all have seen funerals in movies before. However this one is worth seeing.
Truly hilarious. I won’t say much about it but, we have secret love affairs, unmatched dating propositions, acid tripping, blackmail, family dynamics… and more surprises.
If you re looking for a comedy this one is worth seeing it. For sure.
There have been some cases where we've had a good American remake of British comedies...this is not one of those cases. I'm sorry to say that even with some good actors ... they kept the plot but changed the humour... quite less clever and classy... SO I would recommend the original.
