Isn't steem the best? I thought that I'd post on steemit about steem, because that's what everyone does. Is it working yet? Can we circle jerk this platform to the top? Well, I'm not sure, but we're damn sure trying. If only there were 3 million more posts about how steem is going to moon, or how great is is to be here, then maybe they'll listen.
Can you imagine going to reddit, facebook, or any other blogging platform and seeing the majority of posts talking about the platform itself?

I think we need to adopt a new motto, namely "Fuck off, we're full", and make the barrier to entry much higher. Fuck velocity (HF20), fuck making account creation easy, make them pay for it first. This will kill the spammers, the ingrates, the people who don't appreciate their blog, and create a class that will show you fuckers how to blog properly.

I always thought it was weird that most of the trending posts are about steemit itself, I think this is off putting to new content creators, it would be nice to have a mix like music philosophy art etc. I hope once we are out if "beta" this trend will taper off.
