The city has five boroughs; Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Some even say that these boroughs have enough personality and attractions to be their own cities!
In 1789 it became the first capital of the United States. This only lasted for one year though.pexels-photo-861609.jpeg
