Modelling makes you lonely

You might think that models have heaven on earth. You travel around the world, meet many famous personalities and earn a lot of money. A fallacy.

It's probably one of every girl's dreams. If you ask little ladies about their dream job, they will usually give you princess or model as an answer. Only a few manage to jump into a palace as well as onto the catwalk. One of them is the Ethiopian model Sara Nuru. She became known through a show on German television. In it none other than Heidi Klum looked for the most beautiful face. One of these winners was Sara. Since then she has been a sought-after model. For countless magazines or commercials she has already posed around the globe, jetted from one city to another and is almost exclusively on the move. An exciting time, you might think. A dream for every young woman. You see the world and earn money at the same time. But the reality is usually different. A life out of the suitcase. Always changing beds. Only sporadic contact with friends and family. It can make you very lonely and cause melancholy. Away from the lightning storm and the red carpets of this world, one is usually alone. Often in a strange city, an unfamiliar environment. In such situations, family support is particularly important. It provides comfort and helps to stay on the ground. This is the only way to enjoy all the glory and the beautiful pages and to enjoy being the center of attention for photographers and customers. To be a model - a dream with lots of light, but also shadows.
