Hello ladies and gentlemen of the public, I hope you are following the trends and if you don't forget my discussion on security personnel misbehaviour on the highway at my blog page.

Today, I believed that learning had gone beyond four wall of classroom and it could occured anywhere at anytime in life. I was at the scene where police officer were doing stop and search and they are stopping on-coming vehicle and bike to check their particular.

Suddenly, they stopped a bikeman and asked the passenger to come down for searching. It was like a magic when the police officer said so. After the passenger drop off the bike he asked why the officer wanted to search him. The officer respond to the passenger that he was suspicious of him and that was the reason he wanted to search him.

The passenger response was that the officer is joking, on what ground or authority permit him to search him. The police officer continued dragging issue with the passenger until the passenger coat a section 11 of criminal act 2015 which says "that a competent court must validate search warrant before an accused person can search or arrest". I noticed that when the passenger coat this act the officer disappeared from the scene.

Believed me this is the first time am hearing that on no authority does a police officer have constitutional right to arrest or search you without warrant from court of law. I have learnt something today that if you know your right. You will not be embarrassed by any security personnel.

Be a good citizen of Nigeria and obey the law.
