Are you new to the concept of Cleantech, or Greentech? Are you an investor in the future of a better world?
Here you will find a bried Wikipedia description of Cleantech, and then we are going to talk about projects being created to clean the oceans and waters of the Earth.

Clean technology refers to any process, product, or service that reduces negative environmental impacts through significant energy efficiency improvements, the sustainable use of resources, or environmental protection activities. (Wikipedia)

Meet Boyan Slat. He is a 22-year-old Dutch inventor of the cleantech machine that will help to clean up the oceans of plastic and garbage. He has been working on this idea since he was a young teen surfing in the Oceans. Dismayed by the look of our Oceans here on Earth, Boyan set out to disover and create a way to clean the oceans. This is not the same invention you may have seen a few years ago in the news, which has seemed to disappear to the wayside. This invention is part of the Group - Ocean Cleanup, which was created in 2013. Boyan's invention is a 62 mile filtration device that will begin in the Pacific Ocean, which will begin our first efforts in ridding the oceans of plastic, which are harming it's environment and adding to the decrease of fisheries, and helping to cause extinction in our oceans and sea-birds.

In fact, watch this video about how and why birds are ingesting plastic:

Boyan Slat works in a silicon valley looking building made of glass, and sticks out against the 13h century of the Dutch town of Delft! With crowdfunding, Boyan Slat has gathered as much as 2.2 million in funding, and the Dutch government has also become a large part of getting it off the ground by 2020.

Test launches have proven to have some issues, and difficulties as does any new projct, but Boyan believes they are closer to solving those issues, and does not seemed nervous or concerned, according to reports.

Boyan takes a few minutes to talk about his invention, and the problem that has arisen with up to 8.8 billion metric tons of plastic in our oceanways. Warning: some pictures in the video can be upsetting to animal enthusiasts.

The V-Shaped apparatus is being tested in Dutch and Japanese, and they are planning on a full launce in 2020, but more investors are needed to support the evdeavor. If you want cleaner oceans, and can put your time and investment into such a good venture, now is the time to do so.
