"Who Let The Penguins Out?!" πŸ’¨ - Rolling With The Punches At A Wild Easter

You've got to roll with the punches to get what's real. - Van Halen, Jump

Here I am, rolling with heavy, icecold winds at.... Easter (?).

This season my winter clothing has been fully maxed out. I can't remember having worn my fleece-lined jackets in March any year before, and I even believe that I might still need them in April.

The world's going crazy!

Here's to the importance of a positive mindset - combined with awareness of the obviously ocurring climate change!

@surfermarly at Easter 2018 - lots of fake-fur in the picture, huh?

Who let the penguins out?!

There's a saying that:

One must make hay when the sun shines.

Well I believe we should even "make hay" when it's not :-)

Yes, the world climate's changing, and we're all pretty aware that whatever actions we take, they won't have an immediate impact. We'll need to be consistent and plan for the long run. In the meantime we should take situations as they present themselves, constantly bearing in mind that we need to prioritize environmentalism.

Everybody who negates climate change must be blind and deaf.

Crazy times! Currently winds are reaching 70km/h (44mph) on Lanzarote πŸ’¨

On-off-on-off | sun-winds-sun-winds - @surfermarly dealing with the strange weather situation

Coastline action

Islandlife is rough and authentic, and these days we're especially feeling the effects.

Being surrounded by the sea in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean is as if we were based on an open platform, being exposed to any extraneous cause.

Animals suffer in an extraordinary way.

Try to explain to a cat why it can't leave the house right now, or tell a bird that it should stay on the ground instead of flying around as it usually does.

Climate change effects all species on Earth!

Upwind: that birdie had quite a tough job starting against the gusts of wind

On days like these I especially realize how important it is that we give top priority to climate and environmental protection.

The Eearth is the most valuable treasure we all share.

If we don't act NOW it'll be too late soon.

Let's be conscious and make it #theeverydayproject.

Much love,
Marly -

It looks like you are enjoying the wind and the weather you are blessed with. Keep enjoying every moment of your life whenever you found :)

environment must be in our top priority agree with you.

There's no question the climate is changing.

It has for millions of years. Everything is cyclical. I'm not saying humans aren't affecting the air we breathe; however ...

I think we should focus our attention on heavy metals and plastics going into our oceans, streams and water tables.

We can affect greater change for humanity doing that.

World climate is the long-term pattern of weather in a particular area. Weather can change from hour-to-hour, day-to-day, month-to-month or even year-to-year. A region’s weather patterns, usually tracked for at least 30 years, are considered its climate...
Your below concept really nice

Mother nature can be so quiet and not mete our punishments on us for the way she is treated.

Some might see the harsh weather changes as one of her wrath, I don't think so. If they were, they could have been more harsh and severe, wiping us all out. But we are still alive!😏

All these negative experiences are all just a consequence of our neglect and unfair handling of nature!

Let's Treat her right and let's make it #theeverydayproject

Awesome write @surfermarly!

Great piece of advice and i fully agreed that if you have to survive then you must have to adapt the environment , well said

I believe the topic of climate change is more complicated than we are made to believe. I use the term made to believe because we only act on what we are told as to why we're experiencing abnormal fluctuations in the weather and climatic conditions.

No matter how we spin it, a change was bound to occur at some point and we ought to expect that. I know climate change is happening because over here, we've been having abnormal rain pattern too.

However, if we want to say the gospel truth then protecting the earth means we all have to work on ourselves first rather than waiting on our leaders. No more cell phones (radiation), no more vehicles which emit carbon monoxide ( rise of the donkeys), no more generators ( Africa would be in almost perpetual darkness), basically electricity and industrialization (for those who own industries) will go, no more smoking etc. Once we fulfil those quotas, then we are truly trying to preserve earth.

Yeah right @surfermarly. Climate change affect every living creatures. In our place it is supposed to summer but rain comes at night till dawn and leave our place cold and windy in the morning ( making us suffer cough, runny nose and flu). People should start to care for mother earth and realize the important of having ecosystem in balance. Neglecting and taking mother earth for granted brings the abnormal or mixed kind of weather and of course it is not healthy for all living creature. Hope each one will start to do things effectively for a better nature, will learn how to take good care of nature and will also be aware what are those thing causing environment imbalance. To make things right for everybody sake.. I just hope earth hour will fall every month and not just for once a year activity. Nice post for everybody's awareness. Resteemed to spread awareness. God bless.

I don't care whether people believe in climate change or not. If we all try to reduce our environmental impact, the world will be a better place.

I love to camp. I was always taught that when you leave a campsite, it should always be cleaner than when you arrived. I believe this should hold true for everyday life.

Yes, the weather is changing everywhere and it is scary.
I totally agree with you on that the Earth the nature is the biggest treasure and one we should be really taking this seriously and take care of it since it is taking care of us.

Btw. I nominated you for my son's @joordanzzz challenge that I think it is very fun to make and because you are so active I think you might really enjoy it.

I think it can't be said often enough that we need to make changes, because in a way the latest data shows that we might already even be too late. Still, I believe we can turn things around...but at the same time I'm quite skeptical about a worldwide effort that is serious enough to create the changes we need...
How's it on 'your' islands there, with regards to coastal erosion and sea level rise etc? Might not be such a problem because it's volcanic...or is that not quite right to assume..?

If we don't act NOW it'll be too late soon.

It's getting too late now...

Well people are getting aware acting everyday only after getting the wild response from the nature .Do really hope that we do not mess up the nature as down as it is now.

Hope we give the next generation a warm and beautiful nature :)

Seems like you are indeed having some great time ;)
Enjoy beautiful lady :)
