HILLARY CLINTON USES CHILD PLANT AT TOWN HALL MEETING
Yesterday in Haverford, Pennsylvania Hillary Clinton held a Town Hall meeting in which a bright young 15 year old girl named Brennan Leach was allegedly chosen at random to ask former Secretary Clinton a question. After watching the performance a youtube user known as Spanglevision thought that it was worth looking further into. You can find his video and analyses attached below.
The young Brennan asked:
"Hi Madam Secretary. I'm Brennan and I'm 15 years old. At my school, body image is a really big issue for girls my >age. I see with my own eyes the damage Donald Trump does when he talks about women and how they look. As the >first female president how would you undo some of that damage and help girls understand that they're so much more >than just what they look like?"
At first glance it would appear that Brennan is a very smart young lady that was fortunate enough to be called upon to ask the potential future president a question. Upon further review It seems that Brennan was planted in the audience by her father, Democrat and Pennsylvania State Senator, Daylin Leach in addition to event organizers, and former Secretary Clinton’s campaign.
Brennan is not new to being put to work to sell politicians to unwitting viewers. Her father used her in an ad when he was running for Congress in 2014. While using one's daughter to help sell their own political career seems perhaps a bit contrived and manipulative- at least it’s a family affair. Putting your daughter out there to act as a pawn in a much larger political game seems exploitative.
SOFTLY FRAMING YOUR VIEW
What this does point to however is that Hillary Clinton’s campaign continues it’s brash and ever-more controlling methods in what is turning into one of the more curated and cherry picked campaigns in recent memory. Perhaps the reason why Hillary has difficulty pulling in a wide array of supporters is that one does not get the sense of camaraderie with Hillary. People can sense that she does not stand shoulder to shoulder with them in their daily struggles. Hillary inhabits a world the average American can in no way, shape, or form relate to.
This is evidenced even more so in that her campaign is resorting to the planting of willing dupes to ask soft- yet loaded questions in an effort to sway voters. This works on a couple of different levels. With the selection of a 15 year old girl she elicits feelings of the innocence of youth. She also connects the evisceration of that innocence with her opponent Donald Trump. Then she gets to take the question of which she has a prepared answer and reaction to maximize her effectiveness and her relatability. She is then also able to draw her much more relatable daughter into the conversation as well. This further increases the viewers ability to see her as a mother as well as an advocate for fostering the growth of the self image of young women.
CHILDREN IN POLITICS
When children are used in political ads or as unwitting dupes planted in an audience one must ask where the line is to be drawn with regards to the exploitation of children for political gain? Surely those involved here knew what was being done as her father had used his daughter in his 2014 “Daylin for Congress” campaign in Pennsylvania. How much can a 15 year old child know about politics to be able to fully endorse a candidate for president? While using one's daughter to help sell their own political career seems perhaps a bit contrived and manipulative- at least it’s a family affair. Putting your daughter out there to act as a pawn in a much larger political game seems exploitative.
How does Brennan feel about the overthrow of Libya? The bombing of Syria? The email scandal? The Iraq war? In all likelihood her ability to comprehend these very real end-results of Hillary Clinton's political decisions is not quite fully formed. Never-the-less Brennan did a great job and I'm sure she'll continue to grow and may even be a fine actor one day. Looks like she'll have some well connected friends to get her started should she choose that path.
MEDIA COVERAGE
Naturally media outlets such as the New York Times, CNN, The Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post, Cosmopolitan, and on and on, have all covered the story in various capacities.
This only further highlights Hillary’s campaigns capacity for wagging the media whenever the situation is called for. Our once tenacious media has devolved into the communications branch of the Federal Government.
Day after day story after story indicates that there is nothing left to believe that comes from the Government of the USA and begs the question: Who is Hillary Clinton the person? It’s been this way for a long time it’s just that the resolving power of our vision has gotten that much sharper and now we can see all the dirt. It’s important not to turn away.
