Yes, the US, Canada, and France all use ASL, but in other places there are different systems. I know there's an English sign, but I'm sure there are lots of others, really!

Sounds like an interesting subject. Well done for showing us someting that doesn't always come to the public attention. My brother in law is a physical trainer and runs his own club. He had a deaf guy join and took the time to learn some sign language. I think more people should be able to just learn some simple signs.

Thats a really good point. When i was 17 I started to learn the alphabet because it interested me.. But I have mostly fogotten now. There is a story as to why. I used to sign to the girl next door from our bedroom windows lol... But she dumped me so that was the end of that lol...😁

now that is funny. I was about 13 or 14 and sweet on a boy a few homes down on an adjoining street. Nice french boy named Jean-Paul. Our bedrooms were upstairs and we would turn on the lights and jump up and down and wave. Then we got real brave and starting shouting. I got in some deep shit. lol

lol now here is another storey. My bedroom looked onto the street behind me. After my boyfriend dropped me off in the car and after some serious necking. I would run upstairs quick and turn on the light and wait. He would stop at exactly the special spot where he could see me and honk the horn. One day the man in the house followed him home and gave him some serious shit, as to why he stopped there every night. sheepisly he told him, I wave and honk goodnight to my sweetie. lol
