Yesterday and today, my father in law (Ben)came by to help out, meanly handing out nails, screws, components etc he has a bad bag with small vertebrae disks. So he took it easy but for me it was great so I can work outside while Ben hand me the things I need!
Me and Ben discussing the day !
Putting in the pre frames so that the windows will fit properly ! It was quite hard getting the whole main frame dead square! A specially when the roof is out of level in all directions:/
After puting in all the windows (quite heavy)we now put in a damp layer before we can close up!
When it was time for that we had some trouble with the bloodie manual (Ben cut his finger and it was all over the place )
It was the newest version we ordered from Velux but in the manual it was an older version! Very frustrating.
Some times we had to remove some panels and start over again it took the whole day. Finally we where
able to make it all watertight in the end of the day!
we both noticed that this space with this great windows could be nice for the bedroom! We think about swapping now! Why not!!
As an Artist it’s quite interesting in what you all can do with this tegniques , I mean that all the parts are computerized and milled out in a factory! So could you make a whole house with Velux! I really like this way of building ( well with a better manual off course)
Now it’s time to tile the rest of the roof and build another sky window! Steem on!
