Last night was a big one at Kings and Neptunes in Raleigh, there was a Burlesque show and I got a bunch of great footage documenting a shift in the life of a door person at a music venue.
One dude almost tried to fight me but luckily I did not get punched in the face. There isnt any footage of that.
The culture of downtown Raleigh is great, lots of people out having fun and doing creative things. This vlog captures a lot of it.
Working in the music industry is like being an athlete. You have to do taxing things physically and mentally - in this case, staying up all night with hundreds of people I dont know talking to me and having to handle a variety of complex situations. Being healthy, getting good sleep, good food, exercise, not just trying to "kill time," thats the only way I can make this kind of lifestyle work.
