Fate of red mud lakes at Burnside complex tied to future of alumina processing plant

State regulatory records show that one of two options are on the table: to implement a long-term closure plan that is woefully underfunded or to reopen and continue to dump red mud waste.

Interesting article about the fate of a alumina processing plant in Louisiana. Neither of those two options above don't sound great to me. It's the long term problem of having processing plants right next to people. Who was there first? Who knows, but one thing for sure is that I wouldn't want to be breathing that dust all day. I'll be following this to see how it turns out.....

Here's an idea, if the company wants to make changes why not give some of the profits to the people that will be effected, it's a win win
