Let's be Real

I see other people all the time post "coffee talks" and I am not too sure exactly what it means but they all are drinking coffee and talking about random topics that seem important to them. Kind of like American Morning Radio Talk Shows.

Sometimes I wish I had the guts to write about some of their topics and at one point in time I did (not on this platform) and I don't think I got the audience or attention i wanted. So for now I will just write what's on my mind in a safe tone.

My morning Facebook post was the photo above. It was captioned "3 shots of organic expresso" followed by some tags about eating healthy and stop feeding your kids crap.

I kind of made my tags obvious to a particular person who I know doesn't feed their kids healthy at all and it kind of pisses me off really.. Long story probably too long for here, but it dwindles down that when these kids come to my house they are super picky eaters and only like hot dogs, ramen noodles, pizza, and chicken nuggets. All which are full of sodium, nitrates, and chemicals.

Other people from other countries say that America is over weight and we have unhealthy eating habits. I agree! No one is conscious of what they are putting in their bodies and think just because it's on the market it is safe. Did you know that 90% of food in America that's cheap and easy to heat and eat contains something called Propylene glycol? If you google it, it is an anti freezing agent used in Jet De-icing and RV antifreeze (yes that stuff you fill your radiator with) it has a sweet taste to it and it also allows things not to freeze such as jello or muffins. It also says it's safe up to 20mg. But it also doesn't say 20mg a day an hour or lifetime? And so many products use it at approximately 1mg per serving. And of course no one follows the serving guidelines...

My point is google some of the things in your food. My other point is that you're killing your kids (directed at one person in particular not on here tho) and expecting us to pay for their medical bills... yeah pisses me off..

I'm very food aware. And it really doesn't cost more money to buy organic, in fact some things are actually cheaper.

I know my milk doesn't have antibiotics or added hormones in it.. which also could cause people with allergies to be even more allergic to milk (fun fact: all humans are allergic to milk in some form or another, it was made for baby cows not humans).

What are your thoughts? Opinions? Drop me a comment. Do you want me to coffee talk again??

Good coffee table talk Liz. I Have to wonder “Where are the food inspectors?” We need to be aware of what’s going into our bodies. Foods that we think are healthy add to illnesses. Sugar is a culprit and it is added to milk we buy.

Sadly the FDA approves of this stuff even tho it has been banned in all other countries. That also why I buy products imported from italy and mexico because they have laws that are in place that they cant have all the bad stuff in it.. even tho it doesnt say non gmo or organic it still is..
