Alzheimer's is a progressive disease that affects memory and other important mental functions.
the person can suffer:

cognitive: mental deterioration, difficulty thinking and understanding, confusion, delirium, disorientation, inability to create new memories, inability to make simple mathematical operations and recognize common things.

behavior: agitation, aggression, personality changes, wandering and getting lost, loss of self-control and repetition of meaningless words.

mood: emotional ups and downs, apathy, general discontent, anger or loneliness.

psychological: hallucinations, depression or paranoia.

Also common: confused speech, muscle weakness and loss of appetite.
