Where to buy cryptocurrency in Canada?

If you are planning to buy cryptocurrency including Bitcoin in Canada, you may register with any of the following four exchanges. But, as far as I have seen, all of them have some kinds of limitations. It is always good to remember these limitations before registering so that you know what you are getting into.

Coinbase

You can buy Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum and Litecoin at this exchange. You can pay with your credit card. Although you can purchase these coins on Coinbase, you cannot sell them on the same exchange, neither can you transfer them back to your Canadian dollars. However, you can transfer them to other exchanges and buy many different cryptocurrencies. That means, you have to register with another exchange. The fee is relatively high although the tools they have are really easy to use.

Coinsquare

Probably the easiest platform to use. Buy Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dash, Dogecoin and their inhouse coin CSC here. They give a quotation for your money i.e., how many coins you will receive if you execute the order for the amount of money you want to invest. But they never tell you what their fee is. You can transfer money instantly from your bank account with the interac system. Coin rates are generally higher than any other exchanges in Canada (although it is not the same when you are the seller!). You can sell and transfer your money back to your bank although they have a withholding period.

QuadrigaCX

Buy Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Gold, Ethereum and Litecoin from this exchange. Very easy platform to use, transfer money from your bank instantly and transfer it back to your account, transfer Bitcoin or Ethereum to another exchange immediately after making a trade (no withholding period). Buy cryptocurrency using limit price so that you know exactly how much money you are investing in coins and how much the trading fee is. The only limitation is they do not have many many millions of customers like the world famous exchanges have. They process your transactions fast.

Einstein

This is probably the newest exchange in Canada. They offer XRP (Ripple) which no other platform above offers up to today. They also offer Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin and Dash. Although it is from Canada, you cannot actually buy coins with your Canadian dollars on this exchange. However, you can deposit your Canadian dollars to them (to your wallet) and you can request them to convert them for you into US dollars and transfer them to your US dollar wallet so that you can start trading. That is time consuming and may be a hassle for you if you do not have time. There is no withholding period though, which helps if you want to transfer your Bitcoin to Binance, for example, instantly.

I have used all four of these exchanges at certain points of time and the above are my experiences.

I signed up with coinbase with the thought of using it to power up here. I am a bit confused being new to this. But it sounds like as a Canadian I can give them my money but I cannot get it back. Can you elaborate some.
