There exists an ad hell and it is called (bit)coinfaucets.
If you are looking to get into cryptocurrencies and are willing to put in a few hours, you can turn a VM into a cryptocoin collecting machine. After setting everything up, the routine is basically this: You show up 1-2 times a day, fight a few pop-up ads while collecting the dough and reopen 1-2 autofaucets that drip cryptomoney 24/7.
It's fun (as long as it turns not out to be work), not very time consuming (~5-10 minutes) and you're gonna earn thousands of satoshis of bitcoin and different altcoins (1 sat = 0.00000001 coin) that can be exchanged on HUB sites into each other. Every few days it's enough to cash out into offline wallets.
"Sounds too good to be true, so what's the catch?"
Like I wrote before, you're trapped in ad hell because that's how the faucet owners make money. That's also why you should use a VM on an old (seperate) pc, lowering the risk of your system being compromised by ad-code malware.
Are we there yet?
PART I
So here are the steps:
Set up a virtual machine (i.e. with VirtualBox or QEMU) with the OS and browser of your choice (I used debian and firefox-esr)
Boot the VM and fire up the browser
Create a microwallet account at https://coinpot.co/
Before you continue, let this be known:
There are lots of different reviews about coinpot on the internet with many alleging them of fraud and scam. Sticking to their rules, I've been trying it for some days now and they've paid out my accumulated cryptos every time in under 24h.
Do they pay? Yes, they do.
You can (that doesn't mean you should) claim coins every 5-15 min, depending on the different faucets, 7 in total. The longer you don't claim the higher the value gets but the accumulation slows down over time. Claiming comes with a word captcha and 2 pop-up ads that you mustn't block because it's against their ToS. Automation of the claim process is also against the ToS and will get you banned.
Coinpot's dashboard let's you exchange coins among each other (without charging fees) that you can withdraw to offline wallets (without charging fees) after they have accumulated to a certain amount (I reach that every few days).
For every claim you also get some coinpot tokens - an internal currency that can be exchanged or used for gambling.
You receive bonuses for consecutively claiming at least once a day, meaning after 100 days you would have +100% which is the maximum.
There's also a bonus for referrals why it would be nice of you to use my referral links below in case you sign-up (there's no disadvantage in using a referral link). If you have referrals your claiming rates will increase as well, so tell it to your enemies, friends and everyone in between :)
After logging into your coinpot account go to the following faucetsites and login with your e-mail address (no need to sign-up):
http://moonbit.co.in/?ref=dfd82da9d53f - a bitcoin faucet (BTC)
http://moonliteco.in/?ref=9a1fd6066b29 - a litecoin faucet (LTC)
http://moondoge.co.in/?ref=3b72d3a9b92b - a dogecoin faucet (DOGE)
http://moonbitcoin.cash/?ref=139B509095B9 - a bitcoin cash faucet (BCH)
http://moondash.co.in/?ref=6DC97377026D - a dash faucet (DASH)
The next 2 are special faucets where you have to do a quick sign up again. You can use the same data that you put into your coinpot account:
http://bitfun.co/?ref=CE05DF6DB0E6 - a bitcoin faucet where you can also play some games (BTC)
http://bonusbitcoin.co/?ref=236A8D7B7C37 - a bitcoin faucet where you can claim a bonus for collecting from the other faucets (BTC)
Happy faucet sipping! See you in PART II.
