The cons of me coming back has a long list.
When I first returned to college, I could not adapt to the body clock as quickly as I liked and I was switching from 1:00am sleeping to 11:00pm sleeping and that took me till the end of October to fully adapt.
Another issue is the workload for this year. When I did Foundation Studies on site from 2017 to 2019 and L2 IT onsite in 2019-20 prior to me shielding, I was able to do 90% to 100% of the work as I was always on site. With me doing L3 IT this year with me always on site and 18 months away from college due to Shielding, I was only able to to do 50% of the work in September before upping it to 70% in December. This is primarily me being exhausted before the afternoon break and I could not get the work done. I could not utilise the full use of my work skills as I hoped because of the exhaustion problems but because I'm on the Certificate which is 2 Units whereas others are on 4 to 6 units with the Extended Certificate and Foundation Diploma. It means I was slow behind around half the group during the mandatory lessons with the work halfway completed but during lessons which I was ineligible to do units, I was able to catch up on the work, complete the work and be on par with the others. I hope to be back with 100% of the work for September 2022 as adapting back to college for 2021-22 has been a nightmare as it has been physically draining. The physical demands of college mean't I did 7 weeks of 5-6 hour walks so I could be physically prepared to return in September which happened as expected. but I do need to work on my fitness to be ready for September 2022. The physical demands of a college student is more than ever and I'm giving my all physically and mentally. I have been exhausted and tired every day since I have returned in September plus I literally had no time off except Christmas because of college work.
