CONTEST! | My 2020: Just a normal day | ONE DAY IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD

Hello! Interesting to show what my normal day is like, here in my hometown of Villa de Cura, Aragua State, in Venezuela.

I am a retired teacher, I am 14 years old that I do not work in a classroom with children.

In my retirement I have dedicated myself to special activities that occupy my time and not stay at home without doing anything productive.

I will tell you how my day goes by.

I get up at 6:30 am I do my personal hygiene: bath, brushing and change with comfortable clothes and shoes. I usually prepare my breakfast an arepa, like any Venezuelan tradition and a coffee.





When I go out, to address the association of retired teachers I can observe part of the activities that my countrymen do.

Some collect water for consumption at home because there is a shortage of vital fluid
Some carry their pots on their shoulders and others use their vehicles even in wheelbarrows.

I can see the smoke coming out in the distance could be a burning of garbage, or a stove lit for cooking.



The children go to school, accompanied by their mother, father or older brother.
They carry their bag with their school supplies and also their snack.

Other people go for a walk very early in the morning.

People who go to their work centers are observed, they move in different ways: on foot, by car, by public transport. Most carry their food in a bag


Here we see a boy who is going to perform the maintenance of the streets, he wears a sickle and his machete to cut the weeds, and he also wears the uniform that identifies the government in office.

Merchants open their doors and sweep their entrance so that customers find everything clean.

When passing through the banks, you can see the long lines of people who are going to withdraw a limited amount of money, they can barely get about 50.000,00 Bs. Daily to cancel their transportation to work.

In the house of retired teachers we meet to make decisions about the activities to be carried out during the week.

As director of the dance group I am ready to give the instructions for the choreography rehearsal to be presented at the next cultural meeting.

This is one of the results of our presentations all retired teachers.

We have received awards as first place winners in different cultural events and first dance festival of the elderly. Also an interactive prize won by voting via internet.

At 1 pm I return home to prepare my lunch, eat and rest to continue the afternoon routine




In my transit I find that the children are already coming back to their home after completing their class day.
Most parents will withdraw their children at school, to take them home and have lunch with them.


Upon arriving home I prepared a good lunch a Creole pavilion: beans, meatloaf, white rice and fried bananas.


Then I go to rest for an hour, the other young and active people only eat and have to work 4 hours in the afternoon. They return home after 5 pm. I particularly support my granddaughters with schoolwork, I sit for a while on my steemit post, I apply in reading.

At 3:30 pm I go to my recreational activities, dominoes play until 5:00 pm and Creole balls until 6:30 pm. I return to my house.


At 7 pm I prepare my dinner can be some empanadas or pancakes. A juice with cookies.

Most Venezuelans sit to watch television, others make social and night life, visit friends, go to the movies, go to another city for a walk and between 11 or 12 at night they return to their homes to rest.

One of the most used entertainment in the family today is internet games through the computer or smartphones.


There are homes with a lot of tradition where they sit as a family to talk, sing, listen to music, play the four, tell stories, among other activities in the region such as eating a candy made by grandma


After a very active day you have to go to wish good night and go to rest. Tomorrow will be another day.
