ColorChallenge MondayRed - Ibaguense

My reddest orchid! The only red one actually that bloomed for me. And that was last year.
She still has some time this year so I am just waiting. And she keeps growing.

This is Epidendrum Ibaguense a very, very tall one! The long, thin cane must be over 1 metre. Easily! And the from the top a flower spike emerges and it probably another 50 cm.
Soon it will not fit on my window sill.
And I still think she can be taller ;) I saw photos of this type growing in gardens and they were probably taller than an average human.

The flowers are pretty cool eh? Like red angels with boobies ;)
