Color Challenge Sunday Purple! I nearly forgot! I made this fractal yesterday for today!!steemCreated with Sketch.

I cannot begin to tell you how much fun I am having with JWildfire ... and ... we've only just begun ...

Yes. I did that just to get that song stuck in your head. Provided you're susceptible to that particular song. It might be an age thing.

Just in case you need a memory jogger or introduction.

EDIT: ... well posting in my sleep continues to be a bad idea! Google picked up the URL of the video that started autoplaying next and I didn't realize it until this morning. Apologies to my earlier visitors !! However. "Close to You" is also another favorite.

Love these fractals that you make. I like the animated ones too. They are just amazing. The song I am familiar also with. She had a great voice @marillaanne tip!

Someday ... I will animate ... and render solid 3D's and ... texture them as I please ... I will ... or something super duper distracting will have to happen! Like oh LOOK ... Feast of Trumpets tonight! TTYL And thank you so so so much for the tip :) it's fun to find extra coins in the pockets.

Congratz, your post has been read, approved and resteemed by a human 😊!

Ha! I know who you are ! 99.99% sure. Thanks for the extra upvote from @ originalworks. And I like your resteem idea :) OH And ty for your upvote too :)

You really think you know who I am????

pixresteemer_thumbs_up_mini.png

No. I lie on my own blog. Oh wait. People actually do that.

Yes. I've got a very strong suspicion that I now who you are.

Well, it’s easy to test it out…
Just upvote the third post in my personal feed (the one you think is mine, not this one)… I will not add a new post for the next couple of hours.
If you’re right, I’ll tell you and you will be the first!
If you’re not… well, at least you will make someone happy 😊
Good luck!

LOL ok I just made it back up to above .03 ... I'll even take the game up a level. Just to confuse people and steemdb. I'll vote several ... but only one will be the 3rd post.

I think you made a lot of people very happy... but none of my posts got an upvote from you so...you definitely don't know who I am :-)

I'll keep thinking on it :)

You're not off the hook that quickly !

Ha!! O M G I miss counted!! Your third post is now upvoted!!! YOU are still so on the hook it's not funny! WEll it is funny because now you'll have to come up with another test and besides ... I'm just so so certain LOL It's just fitting that I miss-counted

DRATS no wait! You're saying none ... hmmmm ... No. this means ... I have a puzzle still to solve ... ok fine.

lol so i went to my stream and opened up a buncha buncha ... and fell in the rabbit hole ... but all interesting ! I really like my stream. It pays to be picky. Anyway ... done and done and thanks :)

I have my (more) ideas ... there's another certain name that just stands out! ... but we'll have to chat like oh some time in the Monday zone.

Well, that is just fantastic! Glad you got settled and have started producing some cool artwork!
I will be checking in on how you progress, I think if you've gotten this far, then the sky is the beginning, not the limit!
I really like the Orchids!
Try this, start a new Fractal and on the right-side of the editor, click the Add Transform button three times, you should have three triangles in the main window, one one top of the other click one and move it around, right click and spin it around, roll your mouse wheel in and out.
Do this for each triangle.
This will help you understand how to control each Transform.
You can see the associated Linear3D Transform in the tab, also on the right, where you added the three new ones, it's called Transformations, I believe.
Each one of those is associated with each triangle.
Try sliding the sliders one way, then the other.
Sliders are your friends, get to know them!
Have fun, sleeping time for me, I'm burnt-out!! 😎
P.S. check these tutorials out in my Drive folder:

Need to do a fast reply so forgive the bullet points

  • Orchids! wondered what they were!

  • Thank you for your tips. But could you please step up to more advanced ideas ;-) Done that within first 6hrs of functionality. love'n the fun.

  • It's good advice all the same :)

  • I will check the YouTubes your private tutorials !!

  • I really want to move toward understanding the 3D but I need to wait until my office is 65 degrees without running the AC. Soon. It will happen.

  • You're in MAP 25 https://steemit.com/minnowsupport/@accelerator/six-of-the-best-map25-minnow-contest-vote-now-win-upvotes ... yell if you need help. You should be upgraded to full member in the MAP Group

  • You should especially consider signing up to be considered for MAP if you are interested in having more readers visit your pages.

  • I changed out the youtube to the correct song ... in case you were trying to puzzle out the connection that just wasn't happening with the wrong song.

  • I am super excited about more fun and even collaborations ... if you're willing :)

  • Thank you Thank you for persistently encouraging!

Yes, Orchids are the name that the person, probably Andreas Maschke, called them when the parameters were first established. You will see the name of the flame in the top bar and the number of the formula, I believe. Also the Save information, like "Orchids 1342546538" : quicksave <qsave_2017_09_18_001.flame> saved

I was basically pointing out the associated parts like the triangles and how they are connected to the Transformations tab and I meant to add the Nonlinear tab below that next to the Affine tab.

In the Nonlinear tab, the variations are listed as you click on the triangle or the Transform in the Transformations tab, there you are given the variables of each Transform that makes the whole fractal.

@woodywood143 should also be in this MAP PROJECT, he is also a good source of art and does mind blowing fractals in 2D and 3D plus his 3D motorcycles and other 3D work is fantastic! We have been teaching each other for a couple of years.
I will get some parameters sorted out for you to help understand some other ways stuff is made in JWF.
I like to help those who want to know! My encouraging you is spreading the fractal art community, a goal of mine to help more people get familiar with fractals. The more people making fractal art the better!

I absolutely totally agree about @woodywood143! And I totally nominate you to invite him and make sure he's directed through the steps.

Thanks for the tips re the naming!

I have no idea what I'm doing with the Nonlinear Tab ... except playing !! I just kind of flip things around and add transformation layers and mess with the Nonliner tab for each one and then go ...
"oh cool! Save Now!!"
or "Oh Shoot! undo undo undo!!"

Totally loving being able to create multiple snapshots as I morph stuff. It makes it so easy to step back or create multiple branches. Also loving the Random Batch and the Batch Renderer. Yes. I'm being picky about which flame/symmetry/gradient.

The camera takes me right back to Second Life and my very first one week of playing with fractals. No. one doesn't have anything to do with the other ... unless you count that the person telling me to go download different programs was also in Second Life.

My PC just couldn't handle the programs I liked and the others were ... boring, stodgy and inflexible. Obviously, none of them were JWildfire. Mandelbulb is on my hit list -- that was one I liked but couldn't handle.

I am happy that you're interested in getting your teeth into a bigger chunk of the program.
There's loads of tutorials on YouTube if you're interested. I've made a playlist of them and if you're able to get past some people's voices and unscripted narrative, then you'll be ok!
You should also check out the guy that I learned a lot from about MB3D, his name is Don Whittaker and he is a good instructor.
I have been trying to make some new tutorials for JWF, but I always seem to have other stuff that takes my time!!! Hopefully soonish!
I did do a bunch of screenshots to do a pdf, but that's as far as it's gotten. 😮

Turn the screenies into a series on Steemit?

I can see there is so so so much to this. And even where it can feel awkward to make adjustments it is still nicely responsive. For a free program with an interface developed by devs, JWildfire is just shut my mouth amazing!

Thanks Marillaanne, I will probably be doing something like that, making a series of tutorials on JWF here.
Sorry for the delay in answering!
A lot happening in the family right now, father in-law is very ill.

Very sorry to hear about your father in law. Illness in the family rearranges everything.

As to the delay, what delay?

ps. my upvoter is drained again because of smarty @pixrestreemer and my lovely feed stream. I'll be back tomorrow ;-)

Wow! you really got the knack for that quickly!

I'm not afraid of software ... to me, software was created to be probed and made to scream.

I've also been known to make a few software developers scream. Things like, "It's working as designed!!" I've always viewed design as negotiable too :-P (I've tested software and web design)

But also, I've played with programs that generate art through mathematics. With those, I didn't have deep control of the math, like in fractals.

And it helps that I already understand things like layering, colors, and moving the camera and the canvas. And I'm use to seeing digital art as multi-dimensional (3d)

Still, fractals are a world unto themselves. And I love it!

And, all the same, thank you for the compliment!

Very nice work !

:) Thank you. You do realize you are being openly discussed by @fractalizer and myself. Right?
