It isn't weird, it's wonderful! :) Isn't it a physalis?! It's similar to the one I'm familiar with, a yellowish cape with an orange fruit inside. Here in Portugal it grows everywhere! And it's really expensive too! The one you photographed seems to be the "peruvian" kind (I googled it! :D)
