Goldenrod is considered by most people to be a weed. Many people, my sister included, have allergies to this beautiful and useful plant. Why useful? Goldenrod is a butterfly magnet. Pollinators are essential to our food supply system, without them we would have very little to eat. So when, a plant, such as goldenrod, freely grows in my space. I leave it alone

This particular plant is one of many that grow along the fence between my neighbour's house and mine. I feel it also adds beauty as well as bringing in the bees and as a bonus, it increases the privacy factor. All in all, I consider goldenrod a win-win plant.
