It's Tuesday Orange for a few more minutes in the Color Challenge (thanks @kalemandra!), so I have a photo to share with you!!
This confident Hare Krishna was walking through the train station in Haridwar, India, and he looked so brilliant that we snapped a photo of him.
It's common for Hare Krishna men as well as Theravada Buddhist monks to dress in orange saffron robes. Both sects tend to shave their heads as well, although the Krishnas often keep a wee ponytail in the back...allegedly for differentiation from the Buddhist monks.
Given that celibacy is a common practice in Hare Krishna-ism, I find it a bit ironic that they dress in orange - as it is the color of the second chakra, which is the seat of sexuality. Of course that's a slightly superficial judgment, because there are numerous practices for harnessing sensual energy that don't have much to do with physical intercourse at all and deep levels of intimacy that can be achieved by surfing those waves, but I still find it interesting that orange is their "chosen" color.
We were at this train station in Haridwar to cross the country, and I wonder where this gentleman was going...if he was anything like the Hare Krishnas I lived upstairs and around the corner from in Peru, it was probably off to do some chanting, dancing, and baking, hahaha!
I'm not a huge fan of religion per se, but It was really cool to see that spirituality is an integral part of daily life in India, with little altars everywhere and rituals from dress to food to mantras extremely common. The airport in Mumbai even had a meditation room! I dug that.

And maybe they wear orange because they harness and utilize their sexual energy in their practices as opposed to blowing it out the ends of their d*cks the way most folk do. Instead of discarding it, they harness it and revitalize their entire bodies, and maybe that's where the metaphorical body-clad orange look comes from.

Anything is possible, and it's totally valid to imagine that the color orange could be a most excellent reminder to amplify sexual energies and use them for the highest good rather than tossing it about willy nilly. So much more is possible in that department than what western society is led to believe...I would love to see a legit sexual revolution, and I think as humanity continues to wake up we'll see & experience one.

Seemed like the most logical thought process a celibate one might follow. There's always a deeper meaning to a lot of the things these people do.
I. Know. Right?
It surprised me the first time I even learned that the release and the orgasm itself could be two different events altogether. And that if done correctly, that energy could be directed and harnessed in such a myriad of other ways more productive than how everyone's been doing it lately. The concept that the West is usually focused on the 'closing statement' and how that doesn't actually have to be the case...was mindblowing.
It has really quite begun already, with all this talk of NoFap, Self Cultivation, and all those other things. Just gonna take some time to wean people off the normal stuff, especially guys. They're not wrong when they say its a right of theirs, but until half a year ago, I hadn't the slightest clue, just like them, just how much damage this 'right' was doing.
I don't know if you subscribe to the Elitist control theories, but I stumbled upon one recently that suggested a few things, and the only end conclusion one could inference, is that the modern world we live in, was filled with constant sexual imagery and prompts to kinda entice the people into freely discarding the fruits of this powerful wellspring of drive, determination, and sense of achievement.
If that is the case, I sure am glad the people are stirring from that oblivion.

I believe that the sexual urge is definitely primal, but I don't believe it's anyone's right to fornicate or even procreate. There are definitely some genes I personally would like to see edited out of the pool. I think the sense of entitlement is just part of the patriarchal system we're shifting out of because it has done so much damage to our world and society. Gentlemen will figure it out, and ladies will learn to value themselves higher.
I am of the strong opinion that we are controlled by a diabolical system of global elitists, and sexuality has been intensely perverted as it is one of the best, most effective forms of mind control. I would definitely add circumcision as a barbaric practice that perpetuates hyper stimulation, as well as a hardwired connection between sex, violence, anger, and trauma.

Each of the chakras corresponds to a color, and orange represents the second or sacral chakra (which is also called svadhisthana in Sanskrit, or the seat of the self). It's associated with not only sexuality, but also creativity, relationship to others, emotions, and pleasure...plus so much more, the chakras are really fascinating!!
