Color Challenge Monday - Red

Carpeting the sea floor as far as the visibility will allow, Strawberry Anemones are a stark contrast to dull browns and greys that normally cover the rocks and reefs of the Pacific Northwest.

This species of proliferating anemone can be found as far north as Alaska and they can be seen in smaller numbers as far south as northern California. These particular concentration can be photographed all along the western side of Quadra Island British Columbia.

Take your macro and wide angle lens that way to can capture all their splendor.

W0o0oww. And you know amazing​ Fact is that Strawberry anemones reproduce asexually by essentially cloning themselves, which is why they’re often seen in large clumps.
