This lovely, purple flower blooms mid-spring in my sun garden. It is called Camassia and has the same growth characteristics as Hyacinthe, but they grow to a height of 2' or more. I can't remember if they are related in some way or not. Either way the early bees love the nectar of this very, fragrant flower.
