Gardening Lately

A few days of struggling the yard

I noticed the disaster that is my yard,
and my gardens.

On one side of my house, I have a flowering Cherry tree, a crab apple, and two flowering plums trees. Its mostly shade on that side of the house; grass doesn't grow. Right now, that side is planted as a shade garden: hostas, ground cover, lillies, etc. Out front, most of my grass is gone, replaced with lavender, hydrangea, Rose Campian, roses, and other flowers.
Driveway Side is mostly begonia, roses, and a few others mixed in.

Out back enough grass to entertain, but really gardens too.
A rock garden, complete with trickling falls, into a small garden pond, some herbs growing, planted raspberries, and more lilies and ferns around the falls and pond.

I suppose, I should say, this is what it is supposed to be.
after two days of intense weeding, and culling of maple saplings, major hand slicing, raw, sore fingers, and pulling and yanking of bindroot, and other weirdness, I think it's almost there, again!
