I was fortunate to find a seat on the second row just right of the stage. After yesterday's heady geek panels, my Friday schedule was to learn of shows to check out. The good fortune of finding a panel that I can walk in without wait is rare. I wish that would happen more often.
I was charmed by the stories shared in the Brave Warriors panel. My to-watch list grew. And though Ballroom 20 holds 4800 people, it felt very intimate. The actors shared their favorite joke and the winner won money towards his favorite cause. They shared their most memorable on the job memory to embarrassing moments doing sexy scenes. The Brave Warriors were all sweet and fun human beings. It was a panel where I found myself saying "awwwwww" a lot. Perhaps I was in the minority having not seen any of their shows, I'm now inspired to check out their work.
Following the Brave Warrior panel of actors came the Amazon Prime Video Showcase featuring the CREATORS of upcoming original shows to look forward to. If you love "Mr. Robot", you have Sam Esmail's "Homecoming" to look forward to. It's exciting listening to the creators share their newest baby in the works. They were all brilliant and quirky in their own special ways. I especially enjoyed hearing Neil Gaiman speak about his upcoming series, "Good Omens" and love the actors that are on board. All you "Lost" fans must be anticipating Carlton Cuse's, "Jack Ryan" and it will deliver. The first episode was shown for fans at Ballroom 20. Wow! My to-watch list grew at this panel. I don't even like scary stuff but Gail Ann Hurd (Walking Dead) got my interest to check out "Lore." True scary stories.
My last panel of the day in Ballroom 20 was Marvel Television's "Cloak & Dagger. I've yet to catch up with my Marvel tv shows. Everything that Marvel puts out is exciting, the women are written always as strong, interesting, and complex, and weaves into the Marvel Universe elegantly. I'm looking forward to checking out C&D in the near future.
It was a long, long day at comic con. Friday morning began with another go at my Hallmark mission. It was a success. I was able to get my Christmas ornament!!
And after a day well spent in Ballroom 20, I ended the day attending the Crazy Together panel on mental health and pop culture. More on that later.
Have you been to comic con? What's your favorite panel? I would love to know.
JNET
Did you get to see the expanse crew? Or did Amazon talk about it? I love that show.

Naren Shanker, showrunner of "The Expanse" spoke of plans of the next season. I've not watched it but added it on my watch list.
