...and sadly that's as far as it ever got. The next few pages introduce the last member of the team, and then the adventure starts as the characters start to meet one another as the plot drags them all in one by one.
Many things are not what they at first seem. There are backstories to be told, and each character has their own drama to sort out as well. It gets fairly involved and complicated until things finally start to draw into focus as the true villain(s) of the book start to become clear, and our heroes begin to realize just how in over their heads they truly are.
