I wonder what's more weird: The fact this made me think of a webcomic where the creator spent a panel recoiling at an economics textbook being waved by someone saying "ooowoowooow, I am the ghost of bad world building decisions past" because the writer didn't know how money would work in a fantasy society where physical materials can be just summoned into existence...

... Or the fact I actually remember first suggesting that the medium of exchange in such a world would typically be service based, and latter finding an economics audiobook that actually agreed with the suggestion I made (to some extent anyways, its a little more nuanced than that)
