"PREY" is a unique graphic novel based on a short story by Lovecraft and the crazy visions of an obscure artist. I've written about it in older posts, here and here.
So, at some point the protagonist reads a forbidden book and is haunted by fever dreams. The art style changes to render the dreams in a most surreal way, bringing together sailors, mantises, churches, mobs, and other weird concepts, including scientific experiments about the music made by ... plants.
In every page of the rendered dreams, there is a strange kind of signature in the bottom of the page. It is in calligraphy, and at first I thought it was the artist's logo, but then I noticed that it consist of two parts: the first part is different in every page and contains numbers, letters and strange scribbles seemingly unrelated; the second is similar to "moby-7" or "mory" and is always the same. Probably related to Oliver Morissette, a name mentioned in the credits but with no other information.
Now, I am a nerd for conspiracies and symbolisms, there are connections everywhere if you look correctly! So, I am certain that there is something hidden in those scribbles, waiting to be discovered. Maybe the start of a cool story?
Here are SOME of the signatures, I challenge you to find (or make up) the story!
nice find; I wonder if there isn't a gematria cipher being used with these? I downloaded an gematria app and bought the book too, so I might tag you in a follow up article this week if that is cool? thanks for this info!

So you got it from Amazon, right? Congratulations on that buy! You can check out all the signatures on these pages, there are letters, numbers and sigils. Regarding the second part of the signatures, I think that "mory-7" is "Morisette" -- in French "7" is sept which sounds like "sette." Jim St Denis & Olivier Morissette are almost certainly french names, right?
And of course I'd like to see the follow up!
